Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) 2025 is a centralized counselling for admission in technical courses, consisting of undergraduate and postgraduate level at constituent technical institutions of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow.
According to the Central Admission Board (CAB) rule, UPTAC ensures equal and impartial opportunity to all students in the state of Uttar Pradesh in the professional courses of B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA and so on.

UPTAC Counselling Process 2025-26
The counselling process follows a structured series of steps, ensuring a transparent and merit-based admission system. Below is a detailed explanation of each stage of the UPTAC 2025 Counselling Process.
Registration and Document Upload
- Registration is mandatory for all new candidates in Round 1 and the Special Round (Round 6).
- Candidates who wish to participate in subsequent rounds will not need to re-register.
Document Verification
- A Centralized Document Verification Committee will verify the uploaded documents.
- Candidates must ensure that all documents are clear and valid to avoid rejection.
- If discrepancies are found, the candidate will be notified to upload correct documents within a given time frame.
Verification Confirmation via SMS/Email
- Once the verification process is successful, candidates will receive a confirmation message via SMS/email.
- Candidates cannot proceed with choice filling unless their documents are verified.
Choice Filling
- After verification, candidates must log in to their account and fill in their preferred course and college choices in order of priority.
- Candidates should refer to previous year cutoffs to make informed decisions.

Manual Freeze/Float Options (Rounds 1, 2 & 3)
- Freeze: Candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat and does not want an upgrade.
- Float: Candidate accepts the seat but wishes to participate in the next round for a better seat.
Auto Freeze in Round 4
- Round 4 is the final round for general counselling.
- Any seat allotted in Round 4 will be automatically frozen, meaning no further upgrades will be allowed. Candidates must report to the allotted institute after Round 4.
Physical Reporting to Allotted Institutes
- All candidates with Freeze or Auto-Freeze seats must physically report to their allotted institute after Round 4.
- Failing to report will result in cancellation of the seat.
