Key Point About Round 3 Choice Filling

Round 3 choice filling (6–7 July 2026) is the last opportunity to change choices. As per the official schedule, the choices locked in Round 3 will also be used for all further rounds including internal sliding. Thus round 3 locking carries an extreme significance. Make sure to put in your choices in your correct final order.

What Is Freeze and Float in UPTAC 2026?

Candidates should respond with Freeze/Float after each seat allotment round (Round 1, Round 2, Round 3).

Freeze: The allotted seat is satisfactory and the candidate is not interested in any upgrade in subsequent rounds, the allotted seat stands confirmed.

Float: Candidate wishes to accept the allotted seat and at the same time wishes to be considered for a better seat in the next round, according to the lockable options. The higher choice will be automatically accepted by the system if it is available, otherwise the current seat will be maintained. It is an option to have risk free upgrade.

Freeze/Float response must be submitted within the deadline for each round. Round 1: 27–29 June 2026, Round 2: 3–5 July 2026, Round 3: 9–10 July 2026.
